1. First days…

    First day at HMH yesterday went well! I’m so fortunate to be part of this internship and get to learn from people who love to do their job (if you can even call something this fun, that) everyday. I was surrounded today by people willing to teach me and help me grow and I’m looking forward to the week ahead and the agencies that follow. 

    I’m most looking forward to learning some crisis communication, as nerdy as that sounds. Seems like every single person I’ve met so far has been willing to take time out of their crazy busy schedules to help me on my journey to becoming them someday.

    Portland is absolutely beautiful too. Yesterday was another scorcher… almost 90 degrees! Everyone that knows me, knows that is my kind of weather :) The public transit is getting easier to use and I even got to walk a bit (A LOT) yesterday since I am Miss Forgetful and left my all-important notebook at the place Marble met last night.

    For those that aren’t aware, Marble is my intern-based agency that I will be working with to complete my campaign for Moonstruck Chocolate. Marble is composed of myself, Michael, Scott and Todd. We have an objective and specific task to complete and pitch to the company in 6 weeks. And oh, what a fun 6 weeks it will be :) Everything is going smoothly (so far) and our team is pretty awesome if I do say so myself.

    That’s all for now… today was great at HMH too. I don’t know if I’ll get used to switching every couple weeks to new agencies; I’m liking my home right now! -Bri
