First week with Grady Britton

As the first full week being a COLAB intern comes to an end I’ve learned a number of things. Most importantly this is shaping up to even more awesome internship than PAF advertised. I’m working with the PR department at Grady Britton and it’s been amazing. The people there are great and spend lots of time answering my questions. They have also put me to work doing real things which is surprising and fairly daunting (I do feel like I’m missing out not making coffee and cleaning though).
The second thing I’ve learned is that sitting in on meetings is way more interesting than you would think. It gives you a chance to see how the professionals do things in the real world. I sat on a meeting with the Grady Britton team and an app developer which provided great insights into a part of the industry that I’d heard about plenty but never been part of. In meetings the most seemingly mundane topics were fascinating to me (determining whether a color was too prominent on the screen or the position of a word should be changed to name a few).
All in all the first week was great and now that Sunday is coming to an end and I’m excited to head back to Grady Britton for a second week of INTERN ACTION!
