A day in the life of Erika….

So I was walking down the street, like people do. When I cross the path of a bum holding a sign that read “Anything Will Help”. As I profiled this poor man I thought “wow he really does need help”. His clothes were nasty old and torn. He looked like he hadn’t showered in days. You know, really fitting the part of being “homeless”. Until I notice one thing… HE WAS TEXTING WHILE HOLDING HIS CARD BOARD SIGN. Not only was he texting but he was using a smart phone! Which makes me even jealous because I don’t even have one. He almost pulled the wool over my eyes, but of course as you know me. I am smarter then the average bear and decided I shouldn’t give him any money.
Then I was thinking how could this be related back to advertising. BAM BAM BAM! (that’s the sound of neurons firing in my brain). Its bad advertising! DUH. He needs to work on his positioning. If he really wants to get people to give him money he needs to position himself like a person in need. If he does that and finds the right niche market like a better area to station himself in such as somewhere that attracts a lot of tourist i.e. the lowest hanging fruit because they are the most naive and new to the area he would be sitting pretty. If he found this niche market, and worked on his positioning he could practically sell sand on a beach. Well, maybe if he put more effort into his deliverables he could. BINGO BANGO. Problem Solved.
This is what colab does to me… I think about advertising everywhere and anywhere. I love it
